Questions
What parents ask first
Can't find yours? Ask on your first call, and each parent hears the same answer.
Do you take my insurance?
Raymond is out of network with insurance plans, so you pay for each session yourself. He does not bill Medicare or Medicaid. He will give you the names of colleagues who bill plans if you want one.
Can I get a receipt to send to my plan?
A superbill is a monthly itemized receipt that your plan may use to reimburse part of out-of-network care. Your plan decides whether it pays anything. It carries a diagnosis code your insurer can see.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
If you pay without insurance, you have the right to a written estimate of what care will cost before you start. If the final bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you can dispute it. The estimate is not a contract.
How much does it cost, and how do fees work?
The fee depends on the length of the session, and you get it in writing before you start. A small number of reduced-fee spots are open. The fees page has the rest.
Can I use an HSA or FSA card?
Yes. You can pay by card at the end of each session, including HSA and FSA cards.
What happens in the first session?
The first session comes after each parent has had their own call. It is 50 minutes. A parent can stay for the first ten minutes if your child wants that, and Raymond gives both parents the same short update afterward.
How often and how long?
Sessions are 50 minutes, and a joint co-parenting session is 80. Raymond sets the pace with you and with your child, and he reviews it with both parents. He does not promise a number of sessions.
Is Raymond licensed where I live?
Raymond is licensed in Nebraska. He sees children and teens in the office in Lincoln, and sees parents there or by video while they are in Nebraska.
What do I do in a crisis?
Call or text 988, any time, or call 911 in an emergency. This practice does not monitor messages around the clock. The crisis page lists more.
What is confidential, and what are the limits?
What your child says in a session stays in the room. Raymond must report suspected abuse or neglect, and he may share what is needed if he believes your child or someone else is at serious risk. The consent page has the rest.
Can you see my teen, and how does consent work?
A parent or guardian who has the right to consent signs first, and if you share that decision, both of you sign. After that, your teen decides how much to say in the room, within the limits on the consent page.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give 24 hours' notice to change an appointment. Raymond tells you in writing, before you start, what happens when a session is missed.
